No. Reiki Level 1 is designed specifically for complete beginners. You do not need any prior background in energy medicine, meditation, or holistic health. The ability to channel Reiki is passed on through the traditional attunement process during the workshop, making it accessible to absolutely anyone with an open heart and a willingness to learn.

No. Reiki Level 1 (Shoden) focuses primarily on self-healing, personal nervous system regulation, and treating close friends, family, or pets. To practice clinically, obtain professional indemnity insurance, or charge paying clients in South Australia, you must complete your Usui Reiki Level 2 Practitioner Training.
